As always, there are a lot of fun opportunities at the library!

🍁Stepping Up, an adult exercise class, is starting September 1 at 9:00 a.m. in the Community Center.

🍁Story Time is back! Join us Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Tales Around Town will start September 9 at 10:00 a.m. We'll meet at the open shelter house in the City Park.

🍁NEW THIS YEAR: Nighttime Story Time is Thursday, September 17 at 5:30 p.m. Wear your PJs and listen to stories.

🍁Teen Snack Club is changing its time to 4:00 p.m. on the last Monday of the month in the Community Center. Great opportunities for ages 12+ as we explore new snacks and new cultures.

Adult Book Group is back!

Stop by to grab your copy of "A Girl Called Samson" by Amy Harmon at the Aplington Library. Just in time for America's 250th Anniversary, follow real-life character Deborah Samson as she serves in the American Revolution.

Discussion is Tuesday, September 22 at 1:30 p.m. (We meet the 4th Tuesday of each month).

NOTE: You are not required to attend discussion to read the book. There are plenty of copies available at the library.

There's still time to apply!

We seek a hardworking individual who has a passion for serving others and assisting in providing transformative library experiences for people of all ages.

This position will work 10-15 hours/week, primarily in the mornings/afternoons, with some evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications: This is an entry-level position. Graduation from a high school (or equivalent) is recommended. Valid Iowa driver's license before first day of employment. Experience troubleshooting technology, including internet browsers, Microsoft Office, etc. is appreciated.

Story Time is coming back in 2 weeks!

Mark your calendars:

📕Story Time starts Wednesday, September 2 at 10:00 a.m.

📕Tales Around Town travel story time (second Wednesday of each month) starts September 9. Meet at the open shelter house at City Park at 10:00 a.m. for our first meeting.

📕NEW: Night-Time Stories is Thursday, September 17 at 5:30 p.m. Wear your PJs and listen to some spectacular stories.

📕NEW: Preschool Story Time! We're starting a preschool-aged story time on the second and fourth Mondays of each month from October to April at 10:00 a.m. This new program has it all: great stories and fun crafts focused on foundational literacy for preschoolers. The first meeting is October 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the Library.
