The Aplington Fire Department would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Gerald Peters Family Trust and Peters Crop Solutions for their incredibly generous donation. Thanks to their support, we have been able to purchase brand-new firefighting helmets for our entire department.

The Peters family has always been a pillar of support for our team, and we are honored to carry that legacy with us into every call.

To honor Gerald’s memory, every new helmet features a reflective sticker on the back that simply reads "PETE." He will be right there with us on every run.

Thank you again to the Peters family for helping keep our crew safe!

Today we want give a shout out to all the local farmers. This afternoon we were called to a field fire. We had a quick response but when we got there, a neighboring farmer was already there with a tractor and disk making circles around it to help prevent the spread. This is not the first time we’ve had voluntary help from others nearby but we just want you all to know how much we appreciate you and your help!
