🌟 Gratitude overflowing! 🙏

To every family who shared, pledged, cheered, and showed up for our students: this would not have been the same without you. Because of this community, we raised funds for Literacy Material Upgrades, Classroom Support, Teacher Mini-Grants, Cultural Arts Programming, Technology Learning Platforms, Conscious Discipline Professional Development, Continued Advocacy to LPES Families and so much more and gave every student at Laurel Park Elementary two unforgettable weeks.

Our students practiced being Steady. They became Uplifters. They found their Purpose. They went the Extra Mile. They stayed Reliable. And they proved they've had a hero inside them this whole time.

Our Apex Super Heroes Fun Run was everything. The smiles, the cheering, the finish line moments. Our students showed up with so much heart today.

The final superpower, the one that brings it all together: HERO. 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Today's lesson hit different. Our students learned that being a Super Hero isn't about flying or having super speed. It's about the choices you make every single day. Kindness, taking action, standing up for what's right.

And then came the moment that lit up the room: "You're already Super Heroes!" Steady, Uplifter, Purpose, Extra Mile, Reliable. These powers were living inside our students from the beginning. This heroic quest just helped them realize the power they already had.

Their chant today says it all: "Super Heroes lead with heart, Super Heroes from the start."

Tomorrow is the FUN RUN! Our heroes are ready. Here's the game plan for tonight: good sleep, water bottle packed, healthy breakfast in the morning, and comfy shoes. Two big rules for tomorrow: do your best, and have fun. ❤️

Tomorrow is the big day! 🦸

Our FUN RUN is tomorrow, and tonight is the last chance to get pledges in before the event.

Tonight's hero checklist:
✅ Get those final pledges in
✅ Lay out comfy shoes
✅ Plan a good breakfast and plenty of water
✅ Get a great night's sleep
✅ Tell your student how proud you are of them

Two weeks of superpowers. Tomorrow, our students put them all into action. 💛


K-2 go at 9:30am; 3 - 5 go at 10:30am. Spectators welcome! DeeBees freeze pops will be provided after the run. Let your teacher know if your child cannot have one.

Hi all, I am a Laurel Park mom and franchise business owner. The Molly Maid system is running a promo to give a deserving teacher a free year of cleanings!! I would love to see a local teacher win this. Please take a minute to nominate your favorite and most deserving teacher for this gift of time. 🍂🌱 FALL CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION DAY! 🌱🍂

Mark your calendars! Laurel Park Elementary is getting ready for our Fall Campus Beautification Day on Saturday, October 10th from 8:30 AM–12:00 PM, and we’d love your help! 🖤❤️

We’re looking for volunteers to help with:
🌿 Weeding
🌸 Planting
🌳 Pulling out dead bushes
🪴 Giving our campus some fall TLC!

Have gardening gloves, a rake, or a wheelbarrow? Bring them along if you have them! 🧤

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kids are welcome to join us too! It’s a great way to get outside, lend a hand, meet other LPES families, and take pride in our school campus.

Our amazing teachers and staff work so hard for our students, and the Laurel Park PTA wants to show them some love with our Teacher Snack Cart! 🛒🍎

Our next Snack Cart is scheduled for Friday, Sept 11th.

New superpower unlocked: Extra Mile. 💪

Today our students learned that Super Heroes don't do the bare minimum. Going the Extra Mile means helping someone clean up even when you didn't make the mess. Giving your best effort even when you're tired. Noticing a classmate sitting alone and inviting them to join you. Heroes don't say "that's not my problem." They say "how can I help?"

The big takeaway: the extra mile is where most people stop, but it's where leaders show up.

Their leadership challenge: find one moment today to go the extra mile, at school or at home. Help someone, work harder, or do something kind that you didn't have to do. 💛
