BUNCO is BACK!!
Opportunity for Seagroves Farm Neighborhood Women

Do you enjoy socializing? How about a ladies night with some of the Seagroves Farm women? If so, this is an opportunity for you! We are starting up the neighborhood Bunco group again and are looking for additional players, both subs and regulars. Even if you’ve never played Bunco, that’s ok. We’ll teach you and it’s super easy. There is no strategy to it - as long as you can roll dice, you can play Bunco. 🙂

To give you a little more info about the Bunco group -
The whole idea of the group is to socialize and have fun. The Bunco group started in Sept 2008 when the neighborhood was still in the process of being built. Neighbor ladies didn’t know one another, and this provided the perfect opportunity for them to get to do so. We chose the 3rd Thursday of each month to meet. We meet around 6:45 at the designated house for food/fellowship/fun. The game starts at 7 and ends around 9.

For Regular Bunco members -
For Bunco, we alternate whose home we go to so as a regular member, you host just once a year. We bring $5 per game and at the end of the night, there are cash prizes.

For Bunco Substitutes –
Only responsibilities are to bring $5 for the game, play and have fun! You are also eligible to win a prize.

Trash & recycling collection will be delayed by one day for Thursday and Friday routes the week of November 25-29.

Town administrative offices, as well as Apex Community Center and the Halle Cultural Arts Center, will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Attention Seagrove's Farm Owners:

This is a reminder that the Annual Membership Meeting is TOMORROW at 6:30 PM in the Apex Community Center. If you cannot attend the meeting please remember to submit your proxy if you have not already done so, this is very important in order to meet the quorum requirements to conduct the Association business.

Dear Seagrove's Farm Residents,

First, please accept the board's apologies for not communicating the status sooner. We have been hesitant to over communicate without more firm dates, but I know many of you are anxious for information.

As previously communicated, ahead of the opening of the pool, the board agreed to take extra precautions driven by the findings of the investigation of last year's lifeguard death elsewhere in the county. We had an electrician perform an inspection, which found that repairs were needed to ensure the safety of all swimmers at our pool. While we could have delayed these repairs, the board felt it best to risk missing the opening date to ensure that our swimmers remain safe. Unfortunately, those repairs have taken a bit longer than expected.

The good news is that the repairs are completed, and passed the initial electrical inspection on Friday. Over the weekend, the ladders were put back in place, with concrete repair finishing as well. We have now received the final electrical permit / inspection today, and American Pool is treating the remaining algae and doing final prep work. The Wake Co. health inspector, who will give the final green light to open is scheduled for Friday. All that being said, if everything goes according to plan and the inspection passes, we will be open Friday afternoon in time for the holiday weekend.

Please keep in mind that the dates above are not guaranteed until we pass the required inspections. As soon as results are received, the board will communicate status.

Expansion Of Seagroves Farm Park

The Town of Apex, is considering a possible expansion which has been included in the Town's July 1st, 2015 Budget. Should that budget pass, our community will have two options as additions to the SGF community park. The first option is to add additional swings for younger children. The second option is to place a one-half basketball court in the park. The HOA will need to make a decision of which amenity to add to the park as we want to reflect our community's preference. This will be on the agenda for our Annual Meeting at the Apex Community Center at 6:30 pm on June 10th. Please attend this meeting and voice what you'd prefer.
