In case anyone missed the email, CAS, our management company, sent this on May 22: "Dear Residents,

We hope that all of you are doing well and staying safe in this challenging environment in which we find ourselves.

Among the challenges that Homeowner and Condominium Associations are currently confronted with is making a determination on pool openings. Last night, after many weeks of waiting for direction from the State as to whether pools would be allowed to open, the Governor’s office released an Executive Order, and the Department of Health and Human Services has issued additional guidance which detail the regulations, restrictions, and recommendations for community pool openings. Many county health departments are imposing additional regulations.

As you know our pool, like many community pools, is not staffed with lifeguards or other personnel, who can monitor headcounts, social distancing, and comply with cleaning protocols, so we now have to consider the feasibility of complying with the requirements and recommendations.

The requirements and recommendations are extensive, and the association is also confronted with related insurance and expense issues. Your Board of Directors will be meeting to consider all of the issues and the Board will make the decision on when, how and even if the pool will be opened this season.

With all of that said, the pool will not be open this weekend. Additional communication will follow when the Board has made further decisions. Thank you in advance for your understanding. "

Town administrative offices will be closed Dec 24-26, and Jan 1 for the holidays.

During both weeks: Monday and Tuesday trash and recycling collection will operate on the regular day. Wednesday - Friday collection will be delayed by one day (Friday's route will be collected on Saturday.)

Remember that while many household items may be labeled as 'recyclable', our sorting facility does not accept all items. Take a look at the guide below, and use the Waste Wizard for any other materials you might have questions about at https://www.apexnc.org/277/Garbage-Recycling-Yard-Waste
