Franklin County Residents!

Have you built or purchased a new home in 2026? Or maybe you’re currently building a home that will be completed and you’ll be living in it by December 31, 2026?

If so, CONGRATULATIONS on your new home!

As you settle into your new home, don’t forget about Homestead Exemption! You’ll need to come by the Franklin County Property Appraiser’s Office between January and March 2027 to file your application.

Remember, Homestead Exemption is not filed at closing. You must file in person at the Property Appraiser’s Office.

🎉 Happy September 1st! 🎉

Today is a pretty special day around the Property Appraiser’s Office — it’s Casey and Brenda’s work anniversary!

29 years for Casey and 27 years for Brenda! That’s a lot of years!

Both of these ladies have spent the majority of their careers serving the people of Franklin County. They have seen a LOT of changes over the years, and I’m sure they could tell us a few stories!

I’m blessed to have them on my team, but even more blessed to be able to call them friends and colleagues. I truly appreciate everything they do for our office and for the citizens of Franklin County.

Congratulations, Casey and Brenda! 29 and 27 years is something to be proud of! Here’s to many more! 🎉
