This week the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners recognized the Sasnett family for more than 20 years of dedication to Franklin County youth soccer. The soccer field was also named in memory of Jared Sasnett, a former coach and Bay County firefighter who tragically passed away earlier this year.

The Board also recognized our Emergency Management Director Jennifer Daniels for receiving the Women's Trailblazer Award from the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce, recognizing women who lead, inspire, and break barriers.

Thank you to all who continue to make Franklin County a stronger community!!

Those Seafood Festival parades just haven’t been the same since Pam left us. Today, on Pam Nobles Day, we remember a woman who dedicated nearly 40 years to teaching, inspiring, and uplifting generations in Apalachicola. Pam always managed to talk me into dancing in her recitals after I told her no, and I’m grateful she did. Her legacy lives on in all of us. 💙
