This exciting new resource encourages the construction of affordable homes, saving residents and prospective residents on typical permitting and design costs. The plans are available to homeowners at no cost and on-demand, making it simple for anyone who wants to reside in Apache Junction to participate.

Through the "Home Sweet Home" program, you can now access free house plans via the city's Development Services Department.

The City of Apache Junction is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking leader to serve as our next Deputy City Manager. This key executive leadership position will work closely with the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, department directors, elected officials, and community partners to advance strategic initiatives, strengthen city operations, and support exceptional service delivery for our residents.

Located at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Apache Junction is a vibrant and growing community that values innovation, collaboration, and responsive local government. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of our city.

Minimum Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
✔ Seven (7) years of progressively responsible government administration or management experience
✔ Four (4) years of supervisory experience
✔ Master's degree preferred

🎆 Celebrate the Fourth of July with the City of Apache Junction! 🎆

Join us on July 4th at Superstition Shadows Park, 1091 W Southern Ave, for a day filled with fun and festivities!

🎉 Morning Events:
-Volleyball Tournament at 8:00 AM
-Free Open swim at the Aquatic Center from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Thank you Aaron McDermid from State Farm)

🎉 Evening Events:
-Gates open at 6:00 PM
-Free event with water games, food trucks, vendor booths, and free watermelon
-Live entertainment on the event stage
-Fireworks kick off at 8:30 PM (weather permitting)

Arizona is growing and we want your input!

As part of our Next Move Arizona statewide listening tour, we're hosting a virtual public meeting to hear about your transportation challenges and needs.

The session will feature remarks by ADOT Director Jennifer Toth, followed by an interactive session to gather feedback on transportation issues and priorities and a demonstration of an online mapping tool to provide location-specific comments.

“We have visited locations around the state with a goal of strengthening the connection between our transportation system and the communities it serves,” Toth said. “This interactive virtual session is a chance for us to hear from those we may not get to see in person.”

Can’t make the meeting? You can still participate anytime through the online survey and commenting on an interactive map.

The Next Move Arizona listening tour launched in late 2025 and is scheduled to continue through July. To date, the tour has included approximately 60 in-person listening sessions throughout the state with cities and towns, tribal nations, regional planning organizations and community organizations, as well as Next Move Arizona booths at 14 community events.
