🚧 HIGH STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT UPDATE 🚧

Starting tomorrow, Monday, August 31, the Highway Crew will be working on High Street with Bellemore Catch Basin Maintenance.

Bellemore will be using a vacuum truck to locate and verify the depth of the existing water main. This work is necessary to help prepare for construction of the upcoming High Street Drainage Improvements Project.

🏗️ Construction Update:

Park Construction Corporation of Fitzwilliam, NH was the low bidder for the project and will begin mobilizing equipment to the High Street area starting this week.

As we prepare for construction, a representative from the Antrim Public Works Department will also be making an effort to contact property owners and abutters within the project area this week to discuss the upcoming work and answer questions.

Residents and motorists should expect to see increased construction activity on High Street as the project gets underway. Please use caution around crews and equipment and follow the direction of signs and flaggers.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we begin this important drainage and infrastructure improvement project.

🚧 ANTRIM PUBLIC WORKS – ROAD & INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE 🚧

We have several projects underway and coming up as we continue improving Antrim’s roads and infrastructure.

🛣️ West Street Paving
Pike Industries will be base paving West Street tomorrow. Motorists should expect construction activity, delays, and possible temporary traffic restrictions. Please use caution and follow the direction of flaggers.

Pike is expected to return sometime in mid-to-late September to apply the final wearing course on Smith Road and Old Pound Road.

🎨 Pavement Markings
Pin Point Lines will also be working in town, including:

-Striping crosswalks and stop bars throughout the downtown area

-Striping Town-maintained parking lots

🚧 High Street Drainage Reconstruction – Coming This Fall

We are also gearing up for a complete drainage reconstruction project on High Street this fall.
This will be a two-phase project and has been in the planning and development stages for a long time. It represents a significant investment in improving drainage and protecting the roadway and surrounding infrastructure.

More detailed information on the High Street project, construction schedule, traffic impacts, and phases will be provided soon.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed.

🚧 Antrim Public Works – Road Work Update 🚧

We apologize that our planned daily update did not load as intended.

Due to damp weather Monday and again Tuesday morning, Pike Industries has had to adjust the paving schedule. Pike is currently hoping to begin base paving on Smith Road on Thursday, August 20, weather permitting.

🛣️ Old Pound Road
Fine grading on Old Pound Road is now complete. A lot of work has gone into preparing this road for pavement, including culvert replacements, drainage improvements, roadway reclamation and the removal of several massive boulders that were encountered during construction.

Combined with the upcoming new pavement, these improvements address more than just the road surface. With preventive maintenance and continued surface preservation, we expect these improvements to provide a durable roadway for many years to come.

🛣️ Smith Road
Pike will begin placing the base pavement once weather and roadway conditions allow. After the base pavement is complete, Pike will return to place the final wearing course. Final driveway transitions and adjustments will be completed as part of that process.

⚠️ Please continue to expect delays, watch for construction equipment and flaggers, and use caution when traveling through the work areas.

📞 If you have any concerns regarding the road work or driveway transitions, please contact Antrim Public Works at (603) 588-2611 and we will get back to you.
We appreciate everyone's patience as these projects move forward.

Doing the drainage, base preparation and pavement work correctly now—and maintaining these roads in the years ahead—is an investment in Antrim's infrastructure for the long term.

🚧 Antrim Public Works – Road Work Update for This Week 🚧

Road improvement work continues this week, and motorists should expect construction activity, delays, and changing road conditions.

🛣️ Smith Road
Beginning tomorrow, Monday, August 17, Pike Industries will start placing the base pavement.

🛣️ Old Pound Road
Pike will also be fine grading Old Pound Road. Fine grading is an important part of the paving process—it establishes the proper crown and final roadway profile and helps ensure driveways are properly transitioned into the new pavement.

Once the base paving is complete, Pike will return to place the final wearing course. This is the finished surface of the roadway, and final adjustments will be made at that time to properly tie driveways into the new pavement.

⚠️ Please expect delays and use caution when traveling through the work zones. Pay attention to construction signs, equipment, and flaggers, and allow extra time when possible.

If you have any concerns regarding driveway transitions or the ongoing road work, please contact the Antrim Public Works Department at (603) 588-2611. If we are unable to answer immediately, we will get back to you.

📢 We will provide daily updates throughout the week as the work progresses.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we work to improve Antrim’s roads and infrastructure.

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Thursday Morning Road Work 🚧

The Town of Antrim Public Works Department would like to notify residents of two road projects taking place today:

🚜 Smith Road
Pike Industries is reclaiming Smith Road this morning as part of the Town's 2026 Road Improvement Program. Please use caution, obey all construction signs, and follow directions from flaggers. If possible, please avoid the area and use an alternate route to help reduce traffic delays.

🔧 West Street
The Highway Division will be replacing a culvert on West Street today. Due to the narrow width of the roadway, West Street will be closed to through traffic while crews make the pipe connections. Local residents will be able to access their properties as needed, but through traffic should seek an alternate route. This temporary closure is necessary to safely complete the work and protect both our crews and the traveling public.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we continue making important improvements to Antrim's roads and infrastructure. Please slow down in work zones and help keep our crews safe. 🚜👷‍♂️🦺

🚧 Antrim Public Works Traffic Advisory 🚧

⚠️ Motorists should expect delays, and temporary road closures will be necessary while crews safely replace culverts and complete pipe connections.

🏠 Residents will continue to have access to their driveways, but through traffic is strongly encouraged to seek an alternate route to reduce congestion and help our crews complete the work safely and efficiently.

👷 Please slow down, use caution around workers and equipment, and thank you for your patience as we continue making improvements to Antrim's road infrastructure.
