We are hosting our first ever Women in Policing Expo! This expo will feature tables for Police Officer, Animal Control, Community Service Officer, Records, Analyst, and Dispatch positions.

We will have a table set up with Legos and we encourage attendees to bring their children. The event will be held at the Antioch Police Department on May 20th from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Stop on by at any time.

If you are a women interested in a career in law enforcement, in a sworn or professional capacity, we encourage you to join us!

Do you have what it takes to be a crisis negotiator? To be a crisis negotiator you have to be patient, understanding, calm, mindful, and need to be able to communicate effectively. At the Antioch Police Department, we have a Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) that is made up of highly trained police officers, supervisors, and dispatchers.

Our team trains regularly and our officers and dispatchers who are on CNT are an asset to our department as they have extra training on de-escalation tactics and communication. CNT also responds with our SWAT team to high-risk incidents and to serve search warrants as a tool to communicate with suspects or people in crisis.

Sergeant Green and Officer Crandell are at Prospects High School in Antioch recruiting their students. This has been a fruitful event and we’ve had the opportunity to educate students and parents on our daily operations. Fun fact: We have some sworn staff that went to Prospects High School.
