Another day of meeting people and prepping for Southeast Community Day! Fatherhood Festival at TSU, followed by the Sigma Seafood Boil! And last night was lots of fun at the Juneteenth celebration! And I ran into CMs Gamble and Suara! Congratulations to Big Fella and crew for a great event!

Happy Juneteenth!! Today we celebrate the arrival of the last message of freedom to slaves in Texas. Finally, everyone knew and was free!! Today there are events at National Museum of African American Music downtown and then the party continues at for food, games and fireworks!!

Though my soul is crying at the sign that should be in Antioch, I did get a Shorti, an iced coffee, Herr's chips and pretzels, 😂 Ours is coming......not soon enough. For anyone in development, please never use SEC for Nashville projects. Our Wawa is so behind .... .

Also, I got to spend time with the Antioch High School Alumni, Emerge sisters in East Nashvilleand get to know people in Joelton yesterday. Good times!

Party like a Librarian at the main branch of the library! It's their 25th anniversary!! Council Members and Vice Mayor Angie Henderson presented a proclamation to library director, Terry Luke, in honor of the day!

Shooting in Antioch:

Tonight there was a shooting by Bell Rd. MNPD has arrested the two individuals involved, and no one was hurt. Thank you, MNPD and Fire for arriving quickly and apprehending the perpetrators!!
