Antigo Fire Department serves the City of Antigo with 24 hour fire and paramedic service and serves the townships of: Ackley, Antigo, Elcho, Evergreen, Neva, Peck, Polar, Price, Rolling, Summit, Upham, Vilas, and White Lake with 24 hour paramedic service.

Clarification post! We are aware of and fully support the fire hydrant painting contest to celebrate the United States 250th. We have seen comments on several other posts regarding this and the NFPA color coding for hydrants as well as other safety concerns. While we greatly appreciate citizens wanting to ensure that we can perform our duties, we want to assure everyone that we can and will be able to find hydrants when necessary and this project will not interfere with the operation of the hydrants in any way. We are excited to see the creativity this brings out and can't wait to see all of the designs.

Help Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Participation is Free, and supplies are provided, but you must register. Supplies can be picked-up at City Hall Starting May 26 in the Public Works Office. You will be provided with 3 paint jars (red, white, and blue), 4 brushes (Large, Medium, Small, and Fine), and cardboard to place at base of hydrant to prevent overpaint on sidewalk.

Hydrants must be painted by June 26. Public Voting for the Community's Favorite Hydrant will take place from
June 29 - July 2. Winners will be announced at the City of Antigo 4th of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4 at 8pm; Langlade County Fairgrounds following the parade.
15 & Under Winner will receive a $50 A&W Gift Card
16 & Up Winner will receive a $50 Wagner Shell Gas Card

You can check this site daily for updated fire weather conditions. Although the City of Antigo is outside of the DNR Protection area, we generally follow thier suggestions when it comes to burning. However, we do maintain our own ordinance for burning, which you can find here:

Exciting news!! We will be selling Antigo Optimist Club cheese curds on Election Day! April 7th, we will be selling all day starting at 7am until sell out in the parking lot across from City Hall! (Polls are open from 7am to 8pm)

All profits from the cheese curd sales will go to the City of Antigo Park, Recreation & Cemetery Department , City of Antigo Fire Department and Antigo Police Department
