Did you know?

Seasonal allergies can make asthma symptoms worse. Pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds—common in Northcentral Wisconsin during spring and summer—can trigger coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath for people with asthma.

Checking daily pollen levels and avoiding outdoor activities when counts are high can help reduce symptoms.

On May 14th, multiple Langlade County departments showed their support for Mental Health Month by wearing green 💚
This simple act helps raise awareness, reduce stigma, and show support to those who are affected by mental health challenges 🤝 We’re proud to be part of a county that comes together to support such an important cause 🌟.

Your mental health matters — and so does understanding the connection between substance use and mental well-being.

Substance use can sometimes be a way people cope with stress, anxiety, or depression, but it can also make these challenges harder to manage. 💚

This month, let’s break the stigma, start conversations, and support one another in finding healthy ways to cope

🌿 Out and About for a Healthier Community! 🌿
Last month, our Public Health Nurse and Health Educator attended the Healthy Communities Summit in Wausau. The conference focused on creative ways to encourage outdoor activities and support a more active lifestyle for people of all ages.

Even though the weather was chilly and rainy, it didn’t stop Karen and Sheila from exploring the beautiful Monk Botanical Gardens! 🌼🌧️

They came back inspired and excited to develop new ideas to help boost our community’s awareness of the many outdoor recreational opportunities right here in beautiful Langlade County. Stay tuned for what’s to come!
