Firefighters from Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical, along with firefighters from our automatic aid partners Phoenix, Gila River, Scottsdale, and Tempe are taking part in a 5 week, 200 hour long coarse in technical rescue.
A Technical Rescue Team (TRT) is designed for low frequency, but high risk events such as mountain rescues, trench rescues, swift water, confined space, and building collapses.

Recruit Class 23-2 Pre-Academy

Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical firefighter recruits during their first pre-academy workout this morning. Today, recruits focused on endurance training, teamwork building, and acclimatizing to the heat. Workout bonus: learning some of the districts expansive trails and off-road areas.

Recruit Class 23-2 will be attending the Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center (GRPSTC) in June. Welcome and congratulations!
