🌷Happy Grandparents Day, Ansonville!🌷

Today, September 13, 2026, we celebrate and honor the grandparents who are such a precious part of our families and our community.

To the grandparents of Ansonville: Thank you for the love you give, the wisdom you share, the prayers you pray, and the stories you pass down from one generation to the next.

Your presence helps shape our children, strengthen our families, and preserve the history and traditions that make our community special.

Grandparents have a unique way of making us feel loved, valued, and connected. Whether you are actively raising grandchildren, enjoying special moments with them, or simply being the listening ear and steady voice they can count on, your impact reaches far beyond what you may ever realize.

Today, I encourage everyone to take a moment to call, hug, visit, or simply say “Thank You” to a grandparent. And let us also remember and cherish the grandparents who have gone before us and whose love and lessons remain in our hearts.

Many people have asked the town to change our office hours to close at a later time. But that would require us to hire an additional person. So, we are doing just that. We are looking for a part-time Deputy Clerk to begin after Labor Day. This position will stay opened up to Friday, August 7th. Click below to review the details of the position.

Anson County Government has lifted the county-wide Boil Water Advisory effective immediately for all customers served by the Anson County water system. This includes the towns of Ansonville, Lilesville, McFarlan, Morven, Peachland, Polkton, and Wadesboro.

Please note that there will not be any additional water provided to distribute to the citizens of Ansonville. Thank You for your patience and please THANK ALL the crews that worked on fixing our water issue.

Thank you Johnny, Mike, Ansonville Fire Department, Chief McCall, and Hugh James for ensuring we had water and passing test samples.
