An Enhanced Risk for severe storms is forecast for Tuesday evening. All hazards are possible and the threat will continue after dark. The risk includes many of our most popular recreation areas. If you plan to be outdoors ensure you have way to receive alerts and have a plan for shelter.
This is not a yearly, typical threat for severe storms. For many locations this is the first time they have been in a Day 2 Enhanced risk since the category was created in 2015. The continuation of severe weather after dark will also make recognizing the severe threat that much more difficult. Stay weather aware tomorrow!
