The Post-Election Hand Count Audit is a post-election hand count of ballots cast in the election that were electronically tabulated. The audit is conducted by the Early Voting Ballot Board to ensure the accuracy of the tabulation of the electronic voting system results.
For the Primary Runoff Election, the Secretary of State required the Post-Election Hand Count Audit of
686 Early Voting Ballots
122 Ballot by Mail Ballots
252 Ballots cast on Election Day at the Activity Center in Anson
227 Ballots cast on Election Day at Stamford VIP Center; and
30 Ballots cast on Election Day at Lueders Baptist Church.
The audit required review of the races of Senator, Attorney General, and the County Judge in the Republican Primary and Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General in the Democratic Primary.
1,317 ballots were reviewed to complete the audit.
I am pleased to inform the registered voters of Jones County the Post-Election Hand Count Audit has been completed and no discrepancies were found. The Hand Count Audit matched identically to the results presented by the tabulation equipment.
