There are many tools in the toolkit for preventing and treating New World screwworm (NWS). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized and conditionally approved drugs available for NWS infestation and prevention. Animal owners and livestock producers are advised to contact their veterinarian to receive direction on the appropriate product for their animals.
