🦁Meet the Lincoln PTO!🦁

🌟Introducing Crystal Scott, your PTO Chair for 2026-2027!🌟

I have been a middle and high school teacher in Anoka Hennepin for the past 17 years, with the last 15 spent at STEP teaching Salon, Spa, & Barbering, College Now, and Education Careers. I love working with students in both a professional and personal capacity, and if you are looking for a way to take a more active role in your students life, as well as support the other students and families in your community, PTO may be exactly what you are looking for!

I have been involved with PTO since our daughter Ava started Kindergarten virtually at Lincoln in 2020. I love being a part of making school a memorable and positive place for all of the students and families of Lincoln. I especially love Boo Bash! Halloween is my favorite time of year! This year, as Ava moves to AMSA, Hendrix is proudly taking her place at Lincoln as he begins Kindergarten, and he could not be more excited! Our oldest, Laci will be starting her senior year at Regional, and our youngest Sophia will be turning 3 in November and is ready for some quality one-on-one time at home with my husband Sam!

I look forward to meeting more parents and guardians who are interested in making a difference, while having fun with our amazing staff and dedicated group of volunteers!

🌟Introducing Heather Birch, the PTO Concessions Coordinator and interim Secretary!🌟

My kids are in 5th, 3rd, and Kindergarten.
My favorite event is the carnival - who doesn't love an all-school party?! I love all the creative games, tickets, fun carnival foods, and prizes, and especially the way teachers, parents, and older kids (many who are graduates of Lincoln) work together to make it happen! My kids look forward to it every year and have a great time.

I was invited to visit PTO by neighbors (who were also parents at Lincoln) right after we moved to the area and as my oldest started Kindergarten. It was a really amazing way to jump into the school community, meet different teachers and the principal, learn about all the different things our school community is doing to support our kids and community, and get involved with all the great school events! I also really appreciate the parent community I'm a part of thanks to getting to know PTO members.

I have been involved in food service in some form since I was in elementary school and really love organizing and feeding people! Snacks really make anything special. 😋 🍕🍪🍿🥒🍩🧃🍧

🦁Meet the Lincoln PTO!🦁

🌟Introducing Ashley Dahl, Fun Run Co-Coordinator!🌟

Hi, I’m Ashley! My child started at Lincoln last year, which is also when I first became involved with the PTO.

I’m a tattoo artist and one of the owners of Black Sheep Tattoo & Art Collective in St. Paul. I have been tattooing for over 10 years, so art and creativity have always been a huge part of my life. More recently, I’ve been fortunate enough to become involved with many different big art projects here in Anoka as well, and I absolutely love being able to use what I do creatively in the community I call home.

A big part of my life outside of work and family is volunteering with the Anoka Lions Club. Through the Lions, I’ve gotten much more involved in Anoka, our community events, and different opportunities to serve and to give back. I also love volunteering directly at Lincoln whenever I’m able to do so, especially for Arts Jam! I really do love being able to be present for the fun things our kids get to experience throughout the school year.

Between owning a business, tattooing, the Lions, volunteering, art projects, family life, and everything else that gets thrown into the mix, I definitely haven’t been able to make every PTO meeting... But I really do enjoy being part of the group and staying connected to what’s happening at Lincoln.

I’m excited for another year at Lincoln and another year of becoming even more involved in the community that our kids get to grow up in.

🦁Meet the Lincoln PTO!🦁

🌟Introducing Kelsey Holm, Yearbook Chair & Fun Run Co-Coordinator!🌟

I am a mom of three, and my two big kids are attending Lincoln this year - in Kindergarten and 4th grade. We also have a 1 year old! We'll have Lincoln kiddos in the house for over a decade :)

I have become more involved with the PTO over the last couple of years, and am looking forward to continuing involvement this year. My favorite activities are the Boo Bash and the Book Fair! I love all things Halloween and our whole family loves getting dressed up together for the Boo Bash and all the Anoka celebrations. I also love the nostalgia that the Book Fair brings - it was one of my favorite things growing up and it makes my heart happy to bring that magic to the next generation.

As a graphic designer, the yearbook also has a special place in my heart. I'm looking forward to capturing and cataloging moments for the kids to look back on and remember their Lincoln experience with joy.

I am a mom of two, one in third grade at Lincoln and one in preschool. I joined the PTO to support the arts programs at Lincoln. My favorite events are Arts Jam, Boo Bash, and the Carnival. I hope you'll join me in supporting this awesome Lincoln Community!

🦁Meet the Lincoln PTO!🦁

🌟Introducing Amanda Skogquist, PTO Co-Chair & Events Chair!🌟

This year I have a son in 4th grade at Lincoln and another in 9th grade at Anoka High School. I have been on the PTO Board since my 9th grader was in Kindergarten, making this my 10th year.

Being the Events Chair, it's hard to choose a favorite, but I really enjoy some of the new events that have become a tradition at Lincoln over the last decade. Arts & Culture Night, which is a Lincoln School/PTO collaboration, is an amazing night to see the enormous amounts of pride Lincoln families and staff have in teaching others about their culture. Seeing so many people beaming with pride makes all the work that goes into the event totally worth it.

Being part of the PTO has helped me connect with the school community on a different level. By getting to know staff, students, and families better each year and seeing all the successes, challenges overcome, and some still in progress, it brings a greater sense of purpose when you can be a part of those celebrations and offer support when problems arise. The Lincoln PTO is a great "village" to be a part of and I would encourage anyone looking for a way to be more involved at Lincoln to attend a PTO meeting or volunteer for an event. You might be surprised how much you get back from getting involved.
