Anoka Heart Safe Community

Anoka Heart Safe Community A heart safe community participates in a public access defibrillation (PAD) program like Allina's Heart Safe Communities. Anoka Heart Safe has three goals:
1.

The Anoka Police Department and the Anoka-Champlin Fire Department have combined their efforts to provide FREE hands-only CPR training to Anoka Residents, Businesses, and Organizations. Through such programs, automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are place in the hands of emergency medical service, fire and police personnel. AEDs also are made available in nursing homes, businesses, churches, g

olf courses, and schools—wherever people live, work and play. Immediate AED use can save anyone in sudden cardiac arrest. To educate citizens about cardiac arrest and the benefits of early intervention
2. To increasing the availability of AED’s in the City of Anoka.
3. To train citizens in hands only CPR and in the use of AED’s
