🚒 Important Announcement from Bellegrove Fire Company 🚒

We have some exciting news to share with our community! Starting January 1, Bellegrove Fire Company will officially merge with Union Water Works Fire Company #1, creating a stronger, more unified fire service for our community.

This merger is a big step forward in ensuring that we can continue to provide the best possible service to all of you—our neighbors, friends, and families. By combining our resources, training, and dedicated volunteers, we’ll be better equipped to respond to emergencies, protect lives, and serve our community with even greater strength and efficiency.

What does this mean for you?

More resources: A larger team means more firefighters available to respond to emergencies, helping us reduce response times and increase the safety of our community.

Enhanced training: Combining the expertise and experience of both departments means better-trained teams ready to face any situation.

Stronger community ties: This merger brings together two groups of passionate, dedicated volunteers who care deeply about protecting and serving our community.

While the structure of our departments will be changing, our mission remains the same: to protect and serve you with the highest level of care and commitment.

We want to thank all of our volunteers, supporters, and community members for your unwavering support throughout the years. As we move forward into this new chapter, we remain committed to keeping you safe and being a resource you can trust.

Stay tuned for more updates and information as we work through the merger process! We’re excited about the future and the opportunities this partnership will bring. Please check out our new page: North Annville Fire Company

As we welcome the first day of winter, it’s important to remember that while the season brings cozy moments, it also brings unique safety challenges. Our volunteer firefighters are always ready to respond, no matter the weather, but we want to help keep you safe with a few winter safety reminders:

🌨️ 1. Check Your Heating Equipment
Before the cold really sets in, have your furnace or heating system professionally inspected. Keep portable heaters at least 3 feet away from anything that can catch fire.

🔥 2. Fireplaces & Wood Stoves
Make sure chimneys are cleaned and free of debris. Always use a fireplace screen to keep embers from escaping, and never leave fires unattended.

🚗 3. Winterize Your Car
Ensure your car is ready for winter conditions by checking your tires, battery, and fluid levels. Keep an emergency kit with blankets, food, water, and a flashlight in your vehicle.

💡 4. Watch for Ice
Slippery sidewalks and driveways can be dangerous. Keep pathways clear and use ice melt or sand to reduce the risk of falls.

🚨 5. Carbon Monoxide Safety
Carbon monoxide can be a hidden danger during the winter months. Ensure your home is equipped with working CO detectors, especially if you use gas or wood-burning heat sources.

⛺ 6. Avoid Overloading Electrical Outlets
Winter weather often leads to increased use of lights and heating devices. Avoid overloading circuits and always unplug items when not in use.

❄️ 7. Keep Emergency Kits on Hand
Winter storms can sometimes lead to power outages. Be prepared with flashlights, batteries, extra blankets, non-perishable food, and water.

Stay safe, stay warm, and have a wonderful winter season from all of us at Bellegrove Fire Company!
