It is especially important to have a loud notification sound to wake you and your family should you be asleep by the time the storms reach our area.

Calhoun, County – As of 4:00 PM, March 3/29/21, the Calhoun County donations drop-off center is no longer receiving donations due to sufficient supply of needed items for the community. There are still other opportunities to help: volunteer through the volunteer reception center and donate to trusted organizations’ tornado relief funds.

8 AM to 4 PM until further notice.

For impacted residents of Calhoun County, please go to Ohatchee Senior Center or First Baptist Church of Williams to pick up needed items from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

We encourage anyone that can dedicate their time to helping the impacted community to head to Oak Bowery Church this week from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. 3300 AL 144, Ohatchee, AL

*closed March 31st due to inclement weather*

*Must be 18 years + to enter into the field
*Don't need a special skillset
*Bring gloves if you have them
*Wear hard sole shoes

What you may be doing:

- Moving debris
- Helping in the donations center
- Cutting trees (if you have equipment/experience)
- Sorting through debris
- Delivering food/water

Each tornado shelter will be opened when a tornado watch is issued for Calhoun County.

-----> When a tornado WATCH is issued, you should get ready to move to your safe place. If your safe place is a tornado shelter, this is the time for you to head there! Don't wait for a warning to be issued. It may be too late!

*COVID-19 Vaccine UPDATE for those who previously received COVID-19 vaccine at the Anniston City Meeting Center Jan 5-7, 2021*

The Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Regional Medical Center Health System (RMC), and the City of Anniston are partnering with the Alabama Department of Public Health to distribute the second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for healthcare workers, first responders, and those 75 and older who received their first dose January 5-7, 2021.

- Second round doses ONLY will be administered
- February 2-4, 2021
- 7 a.m. to 2 p.m
- Anniston City Meeting Center (1615 Noble St.).

- No appointments are necessary.
- Those who wish to participate should bring their vaccination card with them, reflecting first dose administration on January 5-7.
