🚧 : Road Closure | Noble Street | 11th to 12th Street | 09/15/26

Noble Street between 11th Street and 12th Street will be closed on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM due to ongoing roof repairs at Anniston City Hall.

Both lanes of Noble Street between 11th and 12th Streets will be closed for the duration of the closure.

🏛️ Anniston City Hall will remain open to the public on Tuesday, September 15, during regular operating hours.

Please use caution in the area and plan for an alternate route. We appreciate your patience while this work is completed.

Our summer Mondays have come to an end! Anniston Museums and Gardens is now closed on Mondays.

We’ll be ready to welcome you back Tuesday–Sunday for more exploring, learning, and adventure. 🦖🌿🏛️

Busy day for AFD crews….

We got to participate in the Touch a Truck Event at Anniston Airport …

Also provided medical standby for youth football…

And responded to a missing persons call in coordination with other local agencies…special thank you to our members that answered the call to return to work on their off day to assist with locating the person.

All while ensuring the citizens of Anniston were still covered for emergency response!

So much of what these guys do goes unnoticed and that’s how they like it…but we are lucky to have some of the best firefighters right here in Anniston!

The Anniston Police Department, working alongside the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit, developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for a residence in the 1600 block of Pine Avenue in Anniston.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the APD Special Response Team, officers, and investigators from both agencies executed the search warrant. As a result of the operation, three individuals were arrested, and investigators recovered approximately:

• 5 ounces of suspected ma*****na
• 1 ounce of suspected M**A

Our message remains the same: we aren’t going away.

The Anniston Police Department will continue working with our law enforcement partners to identify, investigate, and target drug operations within our city. Those who choose to profit from the distribution of illegal drugs in Anniston should understand that our investigators are actively working to find you.

We also need the community’s help. If you have information about individuals or locations involved in drug trafficking or the distribution of illegal drugs in Anniston, let us know. Information from the public can provide an important piece of the puzzle that helps investigators build a case and get drugs off our streets.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No additional information will be released at this time.
