JoeAnne Griffie's visitation is Wednesday, September 9th from 3 pm til 7 pm. A group of us are gathering at HQ and will walk across the parking lot to Goodson Funeral Home at 3:15. All are welcome to join us.

A group of us are gathering at CalCoDem HQ to walk across the parking lot to Goodson Funeral Home for visitation at 3:15 Wednesday, 9 September. All are welcome to join us. We already miss our sweet Joeanne.....

The Calhoun County Democrats lost one of our most dedicated members this past week. Joeanne Griffie was a loyal volunteer for many years and always showed up to do her part. She had a strong sense of what needed doing in order to help keep our democracy intact. There is no way to calculate the number of post cards she addressed, wrote personal messages on and provided her own postage to candidates all over the United States. There is no doubt she had an impact on campaigns who never knew her name or where their outside help came from. We knew. Never one to talk about what needed doing, but saw a need and filled it. Joeanne showed up at every single meeting when possible and was an integral part of the gathering. Joeanne brought joy to others in so many ways and we all marveled at the beautiful way she dressed...always perfectly coordinated and oh so lovely.
Please join us Wednesday, September 9 from 3-7 for a visitation at Goodson Funeral Home in Anniston as we join together to bid farewell to our wonderful friend and co-worker, Joeanne Griffie.
