Telephone services across Anne Arundel County offices have been fully restored, including all standard incoming and outgoing landline connections. This service disruption was part of a broader, regional service outage affecting the area and was not limited to county government systems.

Emergency 911 services remain fully operational. If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911 immediately.

Anne Arundel County is currently experiencing general countywide telephone service disruptions affecting both incoming and outgoing landline calls. The Anne Arundel County Police Department non-emergency line at 410-222-8610 is functioning and available. Callers trying to reach other county offices or non-emergency lines may receive a busy or fast-busy signal.

The Office of Information Technology is actively working with service provider Verizon to identify and resolve the issue. Further updates will be posted across our official channels as information becomes available. We appreciate your patience while full service is restored.

City of Annapolis phone lines are currently down. Verizon is working on the repair. 9-1-1 is working properly, but Police and Fire non-emergency lines are down. If you need assistance from a City department, please use annapolis.gov, find your department, and use email.

While the Register of Wills Office cannot assist with creating your will, we do offer a service to keep it safe once it’s completed.

For a one-time fee of $5.00, you may file your will with our office for secure safekeeping.

This month, take the time to plan for your assets and loved ones by working with an estate planning attorney, then file your will with our office for peace of mind.
