Sheriff Sesker and the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office proudly took part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run. During this event, the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office, Annapolis City Police Department, Maryland Capital Police, and Anne Arundel Community College Police all ran together in Annapolis to raise funds supporting the Maryland Special Olympics. This event was an excellent opportunity to connect with neighboring law enforcement agencies, meet Special Olympic Athletes, and engage with our community.

⚽🏆 Yesterday, members of our Office took on the SCYA 12U Bulldogs in a friendly soccer match! This marks our second season playing against these talented young athletes, and they always give us a run for our money, literally!

While we were fortunate to come away with the win, these Bulldogs certainly didn’t make it easy. Their teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit were on full display from start to finish.

A special thank you to Coach Sgt. Cogle for organizing another great event and helping strengthen the connection between our Office and the community. We always look forward to this matchup and can’t wait to do it again next season! ⚽👏 SheriffsOfficeCommunityEngagement

The Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office was pleased to participate in the Anne Arundel County Police Soapbox Derby event. In the weeks leading up to the event, deputies worked with children to build a soapbox car that they would race against teams from the Anne Arundel County Police. This enjoyable experience allowed the children and deputies to strengthen their connections while learning valuable building skills.

The Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office had a great time participating in the Anne Arundel County Police Murph Challenge. This intense fitness challenge requires participants to complete the following: run one mile, perform 100 pull-ups, do 200 push-ups, do 300 squats, and run a final mile. The challenge provides a fun opportunity for firefighters, police officers, and sheriff’s deputies to test their physical limits and get an excellent workout.
