🚨 Training Exercise Underway 🚨

A planned emergency response training exercise is now underway at the U.S. Naval Academy involving Naval Support Activity Annapolis, the U.S. Naval Academy, and local emergency response partners.

Residents and visitors may notice increased emergency vehicle activity and aircraft operations during the exercise.

This is a training exercise. There is no threat to the public.

A separate post will be shared when the exercise concludes.

We appreciate the community's understanding as responders train to maintain readiness and enhance coordination capabilities.

📢 Training Exercise Today States Naval Academy 📢

Today from 9 a.m. to noon, Naval Support Activity Annapolis, the U.S. Naval Academy, and local emergency response partners will conduct a planned emergency response training exercise at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Community members may notice increased emergency vehicle activity and aircraft operations in and around the Academy during this time.

This is a planned training event. There is no threat to the public.

⚓️ I-Day is almost here!

As we welcome the newest class of Midshipmen to the U.S. Naval Academy, visitors and personnel should be aware of temporary gate access adjustments on June 24-25.

🚗 Gate 1
• June 24: Open for vehicles 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.; credentialed pedestrian 24/7 access via turnstile; pedestrian access available 5 a.m. - 12 a.m.
• June 25 (I-Day): Open for vehicles 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.; credentialed pedestrian 24/7 access via turnstile; pedestrian access available 5 a.m. - 12 a.m.

🚶 Gate 3
• June 24: Vehicle access closed; credentialed pedestrian 24/7 access via turnstile only
• June 25 (I-Day): Vehicle access closed; credentialed pedestrian 24/7 access via turnstile; pedestrian access available 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.

🛣️ Gate 8
• Open 24/7 for both vehicles and pedestrians on both days.

📍 Visitor Control Center (Halligan Hall, rear)
Open 7 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

On I-Day, Midshipman Candidates, family members, and guests are encouraged to park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and take the FREE shuttle to Alumni Hall.

🚌 Shuttle service: 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
🔎 Stadium security screening: 4:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

After 2 p.m., security screening at the stadium will conclude and the USNA shuttle drop-off location will shift from Alumni Hall to Gate 1.

Thank you for your patience as we support one of the Naval Academy’s most memorable traditions. Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

🏒 He shoots... he scores!!! and signs up for more Navy!

OS2 Zelek finished up his enlistment commitment and went straight into overtime, reenlisting on the spot at a hockey rink. 🥅

When it comes to the Navy, he's not ready to hang it up just yet.

Congratulations to OS2 Zelek on his reenlistment and thank you for your continued dedication to the mission. Here's to many more seasons ahead! ⚓

During this time, you may notice increased emergency vehicle activity, aircraft operations, and sounds associated with the exercise in the area.

Personnel on the installation may receive exercise-related notifications through Giant Voice and AtHoc.

Residents near the Academy may hear training-related noises during the exercise.

This is a scheduled training event, and there is no threat to the public.
