💙 We’re proud to spotlight Baltimore Votes their Student Service Learning Program, which is engaging youth across Baltimore City in civic activities and leadership opportunities.

So far, the program has recruited 8 interns who are helping run the program and connect with students in their communities. Nearly 10 students have applied to be Student Ambassadors—representing their schools and earning service learning hours through civic engagement activities.

Interns have been out in the community spreading the word—for example, two interns attended ACCE High School’s Back to School BBQ, sparking new applications and excitement among students.

The team also launched a social media campaign and provided ambassadors with T-shirts and event sheets with QR codes for voter registration and election judge sign-ups.

A special highlight came from their first internship meeting at the Hampden branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, where the interns collaborated to plan outreach and recruitment.

The energy, teamwork, and creativity of this group set the tone for a successful launch!

👏 Congratulations to Baltimore Votes for empowering youth, building leadership skills, and strengthening civic engagement across the city!

🌟 Partnership Spotlight 🌟

💙We’re proud to spotlight The Ray Foundation (youth grant recipient), whose recent project made incredible strides in creating sensory-friendly learning opportunities for underprivileged and neurodiverse youth.

Through funding support, the RAY Foundation hosted two “RAYs of Learning” community events at the local library on August 16 and August 23, 2025, featuring eight sensory-friendly stations—arts and crafts, sensory play, interactive books, and more.

Youth volunteers helped assemble 25 personalized care packages filled with adaptive learning tools and hand-written notes, ensuring every child felt seen and celebrated.

The team also represented the Foundation at the FCPS County-Wide Special Education Open House on September 26, 2025, connecting with families and service providers to expand access to sensory resources.

A special highlight came from a pair of twin sisters—one with cerebral palsy—who experienced joy and inclusion through the sensory activities. Their story reflects the heart of the Foundation’s mission: every child deserves to feel proud, included, and valued.

Despite a small scheduling adjustment, all goals were successfully met, and the Foundation reached over 6,000 people online, growing its community and continuing to champion inclusive education across Maryland.

👏 Congratulations to The RAY Foundation for its dedication, creativity, and impact!
