Today, I have submitted my resignation as Chair and Commissioner of the Anne Arundel County Commission for Women.

Serving in this role has been one of my greatest honors. I am deeply grateful for the steadfast support from County Executive Steuart Pittman and his office. Local government and community service have a profound impact on the daily lives of Anne Arundel County residents, and it has been a privilege to contribute to that work.

During my tenure as Chair, I am proud of what we accomplished together, including expanding partnerships with County agencies, nonprofits, and community leaders to better support women and families. delivering high‑impact programs focused on preparing young ladies for their "Journey to Success" through in school career panels, elevating the visibility of women’s issues and providing access for engagement in the political process through "Women Who Vote" Candidate forums, and leading the Commission through its 50th Anniversary, honoring its legacy while positioning it for a stronger future

These achievements reflect the dedication of Commissioners, County partners, and community advocates who work every day to make Anne Arundel County stronger, safer, and more equitable.

I leave this role with deep pride and full confidence in the Commission’s continued leadership. The work ahead remains vital, and I know the Commission will continue advancing its mission and strengthening Anne Arundel County as “The Best Place For All.”

Thank you for the opportunity to serve.

Carolyn Keaton Culp
