We are partnering with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and MADD Maryland this Saturday ahead of the weekend to prevent impaired driving crashes.

Several law enforcement agencies throughout the state will be part of this annual initiative known as "Saturation Saturday."

We will have dedicated officers focusing on impaired drivers. So, before you go out and drink, please make sure you have a plan to have a designated driver, taxi, or rideshare to take you home safely. A simple decision that could save you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road.

The Annapolis Ten Mile Run will take place this Sunday, August 30, 2026, beginning at 7:00 a.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Expect delays, so please allow for extra travel time. Officers will be on-site directing traffic.

Plan ahead. Arrive early. Be Safe.

School Bus Safety Is Everyone’s Responsibility! 🚸 🚌

As students prepare to head back to school, are reminding drivers to slow down, stay alert, and stop for school buses.

Expect increased pedestrian traffic near schools, bus stops, and neighborhoods. Slow down in school zones, watch for children crossing the street, and be prepared to stop at crosswalks.

Parents, remember to review safe walking habits with your children and remind them to use designated crossing areas whenever possible.
