The young people serving in Maryland Corps/Service Year Option program are making a real difference in our state. First Lady Dawn Moore loved calling some of their parents to thank them and ask how the program has made a difference in their child’s life. Their stories are a testament to the power of service.

If you know a young person looking for their next step, encourage them to apply for the program. This is an amazing opportunity for young Marylanders to serve our communities, launch their career, and earn at least $15/hour and a $6,000 completion award.

Together with Partners like Maryland Department of Disabilities, the Maryland Corps/Service Year Option employs young Marylanders and trains them to tackle the challenges facing communities across the state.

On Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re thankful for Director Stephen Polacek, the team at the Maryland Department of Disabilities, and our Service Members in the new IT Accessibility Corps.

Looking to scale your team and your impact? DSCI is proud to partner with over 200 Maryland organizations across the state – And right now, you can apply to become a Host Site Partner to hire grant-supported talent.
