Joining in the celebration were Chief Thomas DeRosa, Officer Detterbeck’s fellow officers, Council Member Tom Kochanowski, and many of his family members and friends who have supported him throughout his journey.

Today, the Clinton Township Police Department proudly recognizes and celebrates the retirement of Lieutenant Jeffery Glennon after more than two decades of dedicated service to our community.

Chief Thomas DeRosa, who has worked with Lt. Glennon for many years, wished him happiness in retirement, while noting he will be missed by all. Lt. Glennon “was not only a great police officer, but honest, loyal and hard working. He cared deeply about police work and his professionalism will be hard to replace.”

Following his service in the United States Marine Corps, Lt. Glennon began his law enforcement career with the Town of Clinton Police Department before joining the Clinton Township Police Department, where he built a distinguished career marked by professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service.

Throughout his tenure, Lt. Glennon served in a variety of roles and rose through the ranks to become Operations Division Commander. His leadership, sound judgment, and steady presence helped guide our department through the many challenges of modern policing. He earned the respect of his fellow officers, neighboring agencies, and the residents we are privileged to serve through his dedication to patrol operations, fatal crash investigations, and the safety and well-being of our community.

For those who worked alongside him, Lt. Glennon was more than a supervisor—he was a mentor, a trusted leader, and a friend. His commitment to developing the next generation of officers and his devotion to the profession have left a lasting impact that will continue long after his final tour of duty.

Today, we thank Lt. Glennon for his years of sacrifice, leadership, and distinguished service. His career reflects the very best of law enforcement and the values of honor, professionalism, and dedication that define this profession.

On behalf of the members of the Clinton Township Police Department and our law enforcement family, congratulations on a well-earned retirement. We wish you and your family good health, happiness, and many wonderful years ahead creating new memories together.

Thank you for your service, Lieutenant Glennon. You will always be a part of the Clinton Township Police Department family.
