Food Gatherers is proud to support local schools like Holmes Elementary through our Healthy School Pantry Program.

A couple of our staff joined Mr. Eric and Ms. Erica, the school's social workers, for a food distribution during parent-pickup. These two work hard to ensure that everyone is getting the food they need. Not only do they pass out food and toiletries to families at this distribution, but they take turns delivering groceries directly to families when transportation barriers exist.

We're very excited to announce that we are now taking applications for residents to live at Avalon’s first building in Ypsilanti, 206 North Washington St.! The form is online at avalonhousing.org/apply.
The income requirements are $1,650 - $4,840 monthly ($19,800 - $58,140 annually) for a one-person household, and a total of $1,650 - $5,500 monthly ($19,800 - $66,480 annually) for a two-person household.
Rent will be $825/month, including utilities, and the first move-in is anticipated for Oct. 1. Applicants will be selected by random lottery. Applications are due June 30.

Food Gatherers' Summer Food Service Program is now in full swing!🎉As a reminder, we are CLOSED tomorrow 6/19 in honor of Juneteenth. Due to the closure, sites that serve on Fridays (South Pointe Scholars and Whitmore Lake High School) will serve TODAY 6/18 from 3:30pm-5:00 and 4:00pm-5:00, respectively.

The Farm at Trinity Health operates a free food pantry supported by Food Gatherers. This is a public pantry, meaning anyone in need of food in our community is welcome to attend.

The pantry is open every Wednesday from 2-6pm and is located at 5557 McAuley Drive in Ypsilanti. Staff members are always around to help answer any questions and provide help.

We're proud to work with local nonprofits like Whitmore Lake Area Human Services, which runs a public food pantry in partnership with Food Gatherers. The pantry is open to anyone in our community who is in need of food, and is open every Tuesday from 10am-6pm.

A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers at Whitmore Lake Area Human Services for being so welcoming and providing great service to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
