Family Health & Fitness Day is a reminder that healthy habits start at home!

Regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, and routine health screenings can help reduce the risk of chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease.

Today, take time to move your body and encourage your loved ones to do the same. Your future health will thank you! https://nkfm.org/conditions/physical-activity/

Last night we honored our Members at our second Annual Legacy Circle Dinner! We celebrated along with some of our greatest friends and supporters.

Legacy Circle Members are special donors who have made a commitment to support the NKFM through a planned gift in their will or trust. Thank you to these generous individuals for their ongoing support.

We’ve had a busy few weeks!

🧡 Tabled the Fish and Loaves Food Pantry Happy Soles 5k where we talked to participants about the food tastings we have been doing at the food pantry and cheered on healthy habits, like being active, that help manage and prevent chronic disease.
🧡 Had great conversations with seniors at the Hannan Center Health and Resource Center in Detroit.
🧡 Joined the Living Liver Foundation and Henry Ford Health Transplant to honor living liver and kidney donors. We helped raise awareness of living donation, including NKFM’s Big Ask Big Give program, during the Utica Unicorns vs. Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers game at UWM Field!
🧡 Attended the Superior Health Foundation and Michigan Health Endowment Fund's Power UP workshop in Marquette. It was a great chance to network with health and social organizations in the Upper Peninsula and learn about resilience, leadership, and communications.

And more! We’re excited to educate the community this summer!

May is High Blood Pressure (HBP) Education Month!

During High Blood Pressure Education Month, NKFM is highlighting the importance of small, sustainable habits that can support long-term health.

Through our HBP Control program, participants gain tools, education, and support to better understand and manage their blood pressure. Even small changes can make a big difference over time. www.nkfm.org/hbpc
