Today's the day to join the Centre for Ageing Better in questioning . "Too old" for something? Not appropriate "for your age?" Those ways of thinking are ageist. No matter what you decide to do if you hear phrases like these, "remember that when we question ageism, we challenge it. And the more we challenge it, the more we start to change it."

CHS' Housing Bureau for Seniors employees care about our community and know that housing insecurity is not the only struggle for older adults and our homebound neighbors. They are always looking for ways to be of service and help our community and sister programs out. Desiree Herrick, the HBS intake coordinator, is the perfect embodiment of that desire to serve. For the past 3 years, she has volunteered at least once a month to deliver meals for Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels. Thank you for all that you do, Desiree!

Come join us this evening for A Road Home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRCf8GeKmKI

The stories in the film will help the community have a better understanding of the systems surrounding mental health, housing insecurity, and homelessness in Washtenaw County.

According to Jennifer Hall, the Executive Director of the Ann Arbor Housing Commission, "Our goal with The Road Home has always been bigger than a film. This project is about uniting organizations and communities to better understand the challenges and create solutions for people who need help the most. Even before the public screenings begin, the documentary has already sparked important conversations among local leaders, organizations, and residents about how we move forward together.
