I used to work in a building next to this bridge. Every now and then, you'd hear the familiar CRUNCH sound, and we'd all stream out into the street to see who'd hit it this time. For years after we left, a former co-worker and I exchanged snark every time a bridge hit made the news. It finally dawned on us that it needed recognition.
