BORDER-TO-BORDER TRAIL TEMPORARILY CLOSED

A segment of the Border-to-Border (B2B) Trail in Gallup Park, between the Geddes Dam and the fishing pond, is temporarily closed due to a potential safety concern.

Out of an abundance of caution, the trail will remain closed while the condition is evaluated, and additional engineering investigation is completed. Please do not enter the closed area and follow all posted trail closure signs, which will be installed early on Friday, Sept. 4. There is no designated detour route at this time.

The City will provide additional information as it becomes available. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation while we work to ensure the trail is safe for public use.

🚒 Ann Arbor Fire Station 4 is getting ready to open its doors! Located at 2415 S. Huron Parkway, the new Ann Arbor Fire Station 4 will celebrate its Grand Opening and Dedication on October 30, 2026.

The new station will be the City’s first carbon-neutral facility, featuring geothermal heating and cooling, solar panels, and other energy-efficient features. 🌎☀️

The project supports the City’s A2ZERO carbon neutrality goals while also incorporating modern, gender-neutral facilities, including showers, bathrooms, and sleeping quarters. Stay tuned as we share more about this exciting new addition to the Ann Arbor community!

Ann Arbor Office of Emergency Management works closely, year round, to plan, share resources and train with city departments like police, fire, signs and signals, city clerk, solid waste, public works, water treatment and many others, as well as community partners including Ann Arbor Public Schools, U of M, area health systems, Washtenaw County, DDA, Huron Valley Ambulance and more, plus state and federal agencies. If disasters or hazards strike in our city, Ann Arbor OEM calls on this community of partners for a coordinated, swift, thorough and effective response.
