POINT OF ORDER PODCAST

In this episode, we go behind the so-called “efficiency” of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to examine the devastating impact of Trump’s austerity agenda on the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense.

We’re joined by Zed Brown, president of AFGE Local 1658 representing the Department of Defense civilian workers, and LP Robert Malosh, 2092 VA Ann Arbor. Speaking as union representatives, they share firsthand accounts of how the administration’s decision to lay off over 83,000 VA employees and DoD employees—including thousands of veterans and caregivers—is crippling both of the agencys' ability to serve those who served us.
