Hey Guys! 👋It has been a minute since we posted. Today Brinley had no school and we decided to go on an adventure. We went out to Thomas Mitchell Park, and let me tell you it is GORGEOUS! All the fall colors, leaves are falling, the sound of crunchy leaves, and the coolest playground! Brinley loved this playground and the size of the slides & the climbing walls. You have to check it out! It has a path all around the playground you can walk around while the kids play! Super convenient to push baby around! They have a side for littles with smaller slides and climbing walls! Also the perfect place for a picnic! Lots of picnic tables and indoor bathrooms! Today we collected all her favorite colored leaves and acorns!

A lot of people have asked me what park is Brinley's favorite. I think that is a tough question because she loves all the parks! The parks in Ankeny that she wants to visit the most is a toss up between Miracle Park and Deer Creek. The picture below is at Miracle Park.

What Brinley loves about this park!
-The slides!
-Roller Tables!
-That it is baseball themed!
-She likes the monkey bars that are lower to the ground. It makes her less nervous.
-Wide variety of things to do!

Miracle Park was designed for all kids to be able to play on. They made it handicap accessible so wheelchairs can get up and down ramps and underneath. It was beautifully created so all children can come play and be a kid!

Deer Ridge: This park is a hidden gem, tucked back away in a quiet neighborhood. We had to park on the street of the neighborhood and walk down the path, it is a beautiful walk, but may be a little more difficult for those with physical limitations.

It gives you that county feel and we absolutely loved the pollination habitat!

Brinley’s viewpoint:

*Super awesome!
*Loved the challenge to climb!
*Loved learning about pollination and seeing all the beautiful butterflies!
*Made her feel like she was back at Grandma and Grandpa’s.
*Loved the nature and hearing all the birds.
*The walking trails was a must and she did not want to leave!
*She wants to come back here and camp out!
*Loved looking over the cute bridge!

We started off in early June with a park challenge from Ankeny Park and Rec! These are 30 different park’s in Ankeny! If you are interested in doing the challenge I I’ll post the link so you can print off the passport!www.ankenyiowa.gov/passport

We have lived in Ankeny for 6 years and found parks we didn’t even know existed! Brinley loved this experience and we now have some new favorite parks! We cannot wait to share our experiences from these parks!
