ACTIONS, Inc. serves the basic needs of senior citizens in Brazoria County while fostering dignity, independence, and purpose.

ACTIONS services & programs enable our seniors to remain a part of their community, while maintaining their dignity, independence and purpose of life. received its charter as a non-profit organization in January 1978, after 4 years of comuunity volunteers working together to build the program. The services provided as described below are available to Seniors 60 & older who reside in Brazoria Count

y. NUTRITION SERVICES - The nutrition program offers congregate meals(group setting) & home delivered meals (homebound). SUPPORT SERVICES - The social/support program operates in each senior center, providing arts & crafts, special events education and health screening. TELEPHONE REASSURANCE - A program designed to provide homebound clients with regular telephone contact and communication to ensure their health and safety. INFORMATION & REFERRAL - This program is available to acquaint seniors in our communities with other agencies to meet their needs. TRANSPORTATION - *Available WITHIN Brazoria County* for doctor's appointments and other essentials such as, but not limited to, picking up medication, grocery shopping, bank, post office, beauty salon or social security office.

Our seniors have spent a lifetime caring for their families, building our communities, and sharing their wisdom. They deserve to age with dignity, respect, and security.

Today, we join others across the country in raising awareness about elder abuse and reminding our community that everyone has a role to play in protecting older adults.

A simple phone call, a visit with a neighbor, or checking in on a loved one can make a meaningful difference.

Let's continue looking out for one another and working together to ensure that every senior in Brazoria County feels valued, supported, and safe.

Please take a moment to learn the warning signs so you can recognize them and help keep our seniors safe. A caring conversation, a wellness check, or reporting a concern can make a difference in someone's life.

Together, we can help protect the dignity, safety, and well-being of older adults in our community.

A big thank you to the wonderful members of Catholic Life Insurance - Brazosport Branch 121 for donating 15 fans for our seniors!

For more than 20 years, they have supported our Senior Fan Drive and helped make sure seniors in Brazoria County stay safe and cool during the hot Texas summer months.

Their generosity and commitment to helping others have made a difference in the lives of so many older adults in our community over the years.

We are grateful for their continued support and for all they do for our Brazoria County senior citizens. 💙
