The Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau needs a current FRESHMAN to join their the Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau Agvocate Program! This is a great opportunity to grow in leadership, and agriculture while networking with agriculture professionals.

Purpose: To encourage involvement and development of knowledge regarding Texas Agriculture and Texas Farm Bureau.
9th Grade:
□ Participate in Activate (SSS) during summer prior to Freshman year (extra credit)
□ Participate in Engage I (SSS) during spring semester (Date TBD)
□ Turn in a resume to the County Farm Bureau
□ Assist with set up or tear down of appropriate county fair Farmers Corral
□ Work a minimum of 8 hours at the appropriate county fair Farmers Corral
□ Attend 2 AgVocates meetings with Ms. Fuchs (one each semester)
□ Be a member in good standing of Brazoria-Galveston Co. Farm Bureau (BGCFB)* and a local 4-H/ FFA Chapter

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026-2027 Texas 4-H GLOBE (Global Leadership Opportunities Beyond Education) Program. 4-H members in grades 8-12 are eligible and must complete the application in the new Tx4H (https://tx4h.tamu.edu/welcome) online registration system. Youth must first complete their 2026-27 4-H enrollment for the event to appear on the dashboard.

Due to this new system, the application deadline has been extended to midnight, September 13.

GLOBE 2026-2027 Announcement
GLOBE is a multi-faceted, year-long program that explores culture, poverty, sustainable agriculture, leadership, and service-learning, open to 4-H members in grades 8-12. The 2026-2027 cohort will have three in-person activities, a webinar series, and a self-directed service-learning project.
