UPDATE:
Boil Water alert has been lifted 06/04/26

The Village of Angel Fire is issuing a boil water alert for everyone on the Monte Verde Well located on County Rd. B6. The well is functioning properly. This is a safety precaution because of sediment build up in the lines. The Water Department will be out tomorrow working on resolving this issue. There is NO problem with the well. It is at the end of the line and very little usage. Once the lines can be properly flushed it should be back to normal usage of water.

Thank you.

An Update on EMS Coverage in the Moreno Valley
Following the Village of Eagle Nest's May 4 Town Hall, the Village of Angel Fire has delivered a formal written EMS agreement to Eagle Nest leadership for review and signature.
At that Town Hall, Eagle Nest residents made something clear: they want reliable local EMS coverage and don't want to depend on neighboring communities as their long-term answer. Angel Fire agrees — Eagle Nest residents deserve strong local emergency response, and relying on Angel Fire as the primary provider isn't the right long-term solution for either community.
The proposed agreement reflects exactly that:
→ Eagle Nest remains the primary EMS provider within its jurisdiction → Angel Fire serves as backup when needed, at no direct cost to Eagle Nest, as long as the service commitments shared at the Town Hall are maintained → Open communication on staffing, quarterly reviews, and reciprocal mutual aid during emergencies
What needs to happen next: Review and signature before July 1, 2026. Without a signed agreement, Angel Fire will no longer respond to EMS calls in Eagle Nest beginning July 1, as previously announced.
We're hopeful this gets signed. The framework is in place, the cost to Eagle Nest is zero, and a signature is what gives every resident across the Moreno Valley certainty about who responds when they call 911.
