I learned to ski during grade school right here in Angel Fire traveling from northwestern Oklahoma each winter with my family. Before having kids, my wife and I enjoyed many long weekends becoming enchanted by northern New Mexico. When our family decided to move out of the hustle and bustle of Dallas city life, we made Angel Fire our home settling here full-time in July of 2019. Before moving to A
ngel Fire I had a long-established career as a mechanical engineer where I worked on several wastewater treatment facility and other municipal projects. I am familiar with the economics of large capital projects related to construction and infrastructure. Part of my job entailed partnering with on-site project managers and design engineers through these capital projects to resolve equipment and specification issues on tight timelines and budgets. Since moving to Angel Fire and retiring to prioritize our growing boys, I have volunteered on the PTA, taken on trustee business at our church, and joined the Association of Angel Fire Property Owners Architectural Committee architectural committee as both chair and inspector. These opportunities have afforded me the chance to get to know many of you. I have driven down your roads as an inspector with AAFPO and know the covenants and municipal building codes. Given that knowledge, I know we need our roads and infrastructure improved. This will require both maintenance and capital investment to protect property values and see more full-time residents consider making Angel Fire their home. I believe my time as a mechanical engineer, a dedicated volunteer, and an invested member of this community makes me well suited to be your council member. I want to be an Angel Fire Councilor for the same reasons I volunteer in other aspects of our community. I would like to see Angel Fire continue to grow and flourish as a full-time and vacation destination. In order to delight residents and guests, we need to put processes and people in place to address our infrastructure, housing, and construction needs in both the short and long term. I would appreciate your vote in this upcoming election!
