During National Police Week, we recognize and honor the dedicated law enforcement officers who serve and protect our communities each and every day. It is also a time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and to show appreciation for the commitment and professionalism of officers nationwide.

Sheriff Chris Newton stated,

“Our deputies serve Huntington County with dedication, compassion, and unwavering professionalism. I’m incredibly proud of the work they do every day to keep our communities safe.”

Chief Deputy Chad Hammel shared,

“Behind every badge is a person committed to helping others, often in difficult and dangerous situations. National Police Week gives us an opportunity to reflect on that service and honor those who answer the call.”

The Andrews Fire Department is happy to announce the newest additions to our fleet. These motorcycles will not only help with our response times, but we will arrive on scene in style. We expect to have them in service when a few more members receive their endorsement.
