The Town of Andover invites members of the community to join us in remembering and honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

This year marks 25 years since the tragic events of September 11, a day that forever changed our nation and its history. A brief remembrance ceremony will be held on Friday, September 11, at 8:30 AM in front of Andover Town Offices, located at 36 Bartlet Street.

All members of the community are welcome to attend as we reflect on those who were lost and honor their memory 25 years later.

TRAFFIC ALERT! Please allow extra time travelling to and from West Elementary, West Middle, and Andover High Schools over the next few weeks due to water main construction on Lowell Street between Beacon St/Shawsheen Rd, and Lincoln St.

Eastbound traffic is detoured onto Shawsheen Rd during this project. Westbound traffic can proceed on Lowell St with caution.

Congratulations to the Police softball team! APD defeated Fire Rescue 17 to 5. Both teams enjoyed a collective cookout after the game.

Andover’s police behavioral health clinician responded to 107 calls and conducted 178 follow-ups during her first year with the department.

Officer Goodale (l) and Sergeant Neal (R) are attending the annual Project Lifesaver training conference this week.

Project Lifesaver is the premier search-and-rescue program operated internationally by public-safety agencies, and is strategically designed for “at-risk” individuals who are prone to the life-threatening behavior of wandering or eloping due to autism, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive conditions.
