Allamuchy-Green First Aid Squad

A volunteer EMS agency that provides Basic Life Support to Allamuchy, Green and Frelinghuysen NJ The Squad was established in 1971.

We were first located in a one care garage located on Allamuchy-Johnsonburg Road in Allamuchy Township. Our next location was a two-car garage located behind The Still restaurant on Route 517 in Green Township. About 1980, we purchased land on Maple Lane, Green Township and built our present building. In 2008, an addition was made to the Allamuchy Township Fire Department which included a substati

on for the Squad and houses a third Ambulance, located on Alphano Road in Allamuchy Township. We meet on Tuesday nights for drills, rig checks, meetings and clean-ups. We cover Allamuchy Township, which includes an 8-mile stretch of Interstate 80, Green Township and a portion of Frelinghuysen Township, for a total of 45 square miles and approximately 7800 residents. We currently have 16 active members. We have a duty schedule on weekday nights and weekends. During the day, we have a few dedicated members that are available to run calls. All members are certified by the NJ Department of Health and the NJ First Aid Council. Required training includes a Basic EMT Course, CPR, CEVO, and other courses mandated by the State. We currently have 3 ambulances,1 off road rescue vehicle and a first responder. One of our ambulances carries the Jaws of Life and other extrication equipment.

Mark your calendars.

The Allamuchy Township Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a wetdown for our new Ladder 91-69, and we’re inviting the community to come out and be part of it.

Join us on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Allamuchy Township Fire Department, 284 Alphano Road.
More details to follow as we move closer to the event.

This is a proud moment for our department and a long-standing fire service tradition. Come out, see the new truck up close, and help us celebrate the next addition to our fleet.

This week, I am pleased to highlight First Lieutenant Kimberly Stang as a Hometown Hero. A dedicated member of the Allamuchy‑Green First Aid Squad since 2009, she has spent nearly her entire seventeen years of service in leadership roles. First Lieutenant Stang recently led the complex design, build, and implementation of two new fully equipped and service ready ambulances, an extraordinary accomplishment for a fully volunteer organization. She responds to hundreds of 911 calls each year and remains one of the most reliable and trusted operational leaders.

First Lieutenant Stang is an exceptional patient care provider, a steady incident commander, and a respected leader whose dedication has made a lasting impact on the Allamuchy-Green First Aid Squad and the community it serves. Thank you, First Lt. Stang, for your unwavering commitment and service.
