🚩 RED FLAG WARNING — PLEASE USE EXTRA CAUTION THIS WEEKEND
A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 11 AM Saturday, September 12 through 11 AM Monday, September 14.
Gusty winds, very low humidity, and dry vegetation will create conditions where fires can start easily and spread rapidly. Winds may gust 20–35 mph, with daytime humidity dropping to 10–25%.
During Red Flag conditions, one small spark can quickly become a dangerous fire. Please help us protect our community by being especially careful with anything that could create heat or sparks:
• Avoid mowing or weed-eating dry grass, especially during the hottest or windiest parts of the day.
• Avoid using equipment that can create sparks near dry vegetation.
• Secure trailer chains so they do not drag on the roadway.
• Never park or drive a hot vehicle over dry grass.
• Fully extinguish and properly dispose of ci******es.
• Follow all burn restrictions and postpone outdoor burning.
• Keep vehicles fueled, phones charged, and be prepared in case conditions change quickly.
A little extra caution this weekend can make a big difference. Help us prevent the spark that starts the next wildfire.
