Thank you to everyone who joined us for our programs this May! We had such a fun time celebrating AAPI month with our KPop Demon Hunters party, hearing from author Nicole Martinez-LeGrand about her book "Asian American Voices in Indiana" and tour of the IHS traveling exhibit, and learning about Japanese book binding. If you travel on two wheels to get to the library, you know the struggle of carrying a heavy lock or worrying about your bike while you're browsing the shelves. Our new Bikeep station solves that by “providing a secure option for everyone to lock their bike, even if they don’t have their own lock,” says Assistant Director Colleen, who oversees infrastructure projects. “We chose Bikeep because it provides secure, individual locking and a more modern, user-friendly experience than standard racks.”

This upgrade is part of our mission to stay responsive to community needs. It is completely free to use and makes it easier for everyone to access our resources. “The Bikeep station supports our strategic goals by improving access, enhancing user experience, and promoting sustainable transportation,” Colleen says.
