The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority is providing temporary housing grants to help eligible displaced Hoosiers move from emergency shelters into temporary accommodations.

IHCDA offers two options, and eligible households must choose one: vouchers for temporary hotel stays or rental assistance.

With highs in the 90s and heat indices topping 100 this week, it is recommended to:

-Stay indoors as much as possible
-Wear loose-fitting, light-colored clothing
-Drink fluids regularly
-Avoid strenuous activity
-Watch for symptoms of heat-related illness

Hoosiers can also use cooling centers as a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat. Find a cooling center near you at on.in.gov/coolingcenters.

No transient merchant or solicitor shall enter any property in the town upon which a sign or notice
stating “NO SOLICITORS,” or words to that effect, is posted and plainly visible.
