Clean Air Aware (CAA) Art Spotlight Program – 2026.

This initiative is a community art activity open to all ages that invites kids and residents to creatively express what clean air means to them. The submission period is open from April 1st through April 30th.

Participants will also have the opportunity to win and receive gifts and recognition as part of this program.

The goal of this project is to raise awareness about clean air and environmental responsibility while encouraging community participation through creative expression.

Ivy Tech Community College has two exciting training opportunities for individuals to gain in demand skills and industry recognized certifications. Additionally, these courses allow individuals who qualify for Workforce Ready Grant funds to take one of these trainings at NO COST to them! Learn more about these courses below:

MSSC-CPT (Certified Production Technician) – The MSSC Certified Production Technician certification is the nationally recognized certification supported by the National Association of Manufacturers. The training will enable workers to build the core knowledge and skills required in modern advanced manufacturing. OSHA 10 included. This course will run May 6 - June 23rd, Monday – Thursday, 8am – 2pm. (Flyer attached)

NCCER (Core Construction Certification) - The NCCER Core course provides individuals with an overview of various fields of basic safety, introduction to construction math, power tools, hand tools, basic rigging, basic communication skills, construction drawings, essential employability skill, and material handling. OSHA 10 included. This course will run June 10 – July 14. M,T,TH. 6pm-9pm. (Flyer attached)

*Local Employers will be invited to interview those participants who are interested at the close of each course.

To qualify for Workforce Ready Grant (WRG) funds a individual must:
- Be an Indiana Resident
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Not have received an associate degree or higher
- Not have utilized WRG funds before
